Archery
COD in 2nd period archery, Rayah Alexander, had an incredible first day of archery. She made a ton of progress on her shooting form while also encouraging other campers. Keep up the good work Rayah! #target
Arts and Crafts
For 2nd period arts and crafts Bella Urieta was our COD! She made an absolutely adorable trolls rock featuring mr. wiggles! Anna Young was COD for 3rd period arts and crafts! She painted a super cute lady-bug rock! Georgia McCullough was 4th period arts and crafts COD! She made several awesome rocks. Arts and crafts 5th period COD was none other than Charity Ross! She made a stunning summery rock and withstood tremendous paint-related adversity with strength!
Baseball
Congrats to COD in 2nd period baseball, Lennox Prince! I don’t know if it was the Equinox, but Lennox made some of the best plays I’ve ever seen. He was the prince of the field and dominated!!
Basketball Advanced
Camden Caldwell played immaculate in 1st period basketball advanced. His teamwork and passing translated into playmaking and points for his team in our mega 8v8. Good work Camden!
Boating and Canoeing
Arya Davis-Gonzales was our 1st period boating and canoeing COD! She was participating in the mega boat and playing categories like a champion! Keep it up, Arya! Elan Sharon was the COD today in 2nd period boating and canoeing for tipping the canoe with enthusiasm and having a great day out on Lake Dealey!
Broadcasting
COD for 1st period broadcasting is Elan Sharon! You would never know it was his first time on the radio. This natural brought the sport’s news with energy. COD for 2nd period broadcasting is Samantha Blackwell! She brought the energy to her own segment. She puts the R-A-D in radio!
Challenge Course
Rachel Sheffield, COD for 1st period challenge course, your year-long training paid off. She climbed the “I CAN” wall at top speed with ease! Woop Woop! Evelyn Fawkes, COD for 2nd period, brought the ENERGY to challenge course. She cheered everyone else on. Keep shining, Evelyn! Arya Davis-Gonzales, COD for 3rd period challenge course, dominated the “I CAN” wall. She hiked up to it tirelessly and climbed up effortlessly. Congrats, Arya!
Choir
COD in 3rd period choir is Xavier Trent for his enthusiasm and musical integrity!
Cross Country
Sweeney XC’s first COD goes to the one and only Jackson Galen! He took the initiative to encourage his mentor, Tristan, to join XC. Through the blazing Texan sun, Jackson had an amazing first run. His energy was out of this world and his positivity hydrated. Sweeney XC is super excited for this session!!
Disc Golf
Today we split into teams and played alternate shot disc golf in 4th period. Graham Butler showed excellent teamwork and brought so much positivity to his team. way to go, Graham!
Field Games
Our first field games session 2 COD was Carter Jefferson-Townsend! She was an absolute hero and legend out on the field in our epic matchup between “The Sweeney 5” and “The Ball”. Some might even say…she “balled” out!
Fishing
In 1st period fishing, Hunter Korsberg came prepared with his personal pole and a determined attitude. He caught some big fish and had a lot of F-U-N! Joshua Castillo caught his first fish ever in 4th period fishing. It was over 3 planks long. He patiently fished the whole time. Georgia Bruskoff caught the fish of 5th period and simultaneously taught others why a large mouth bass has its name. Great job Georgie!
Football
Brayson Horton was a stud today in football with great catches and some silky smooth running. He was Lamar Jackson esk with his superior speed and insane talent.
Hiking
Congrats to Joshua Castillo, our first COD! It was his first time out, and he led the may, finding a cool hiking stick and clearing spider webs away! Way to go! Andy Saferstein led stretches like a pro and our hike in 2nd period with a positive attitude and the skills of a hiking legend. Give it up for Nico Parkhill, our 3rd period COD! She brought a positive vibe and led stretches! Congrats! Gemma Walker effortlessly traversed the “I CAN” wall trail with grit in 5th period hiking. Even though she fell while walking down the treacherous Reaction Hill, she got up with grace and never skipped a beat.
Lacrosse
Today in 4th period Lacrosse our COD, Noah Maciel, was scoring goals and keeping spirits high playing good defense and offense. keep up the F-U-N to the L-A-X!
Miniature Golf
Second session kicked off the best way possible at Sweeney national! Neyo Green was show stopping in 4th period mini gold, showing off his awesome skills!
Paintball Combat
Our very first COD in paintball combat is Graham Butler. He had no fear in the arena and strategized like a pro! Period 2 for paintball combat COD is Max Appleton! He showed exceptional leadership and kept his team going in a long and intense battle. Way to go!
Paintball jr
Today’s COD for paintball jr. is Charlie Hauptli! He led his team in capture the flag and stayed enthusiastic. Nice job!
Pro Fishing
Syd Devine was our first time fisher. She caught her first bite ever in 2nd period! She had a great attitude on the clock and helped out pro fishing by pulling El Pescado in for us. Her love for fishing shined on the clock!
Riflery
The first COD for session 2 riflery goes to the birthday boy, Sam Kaplan! Sam not only won our rock-paper-scissors contest to shoot the soda bottle, but he also shot a gun for the very first time! Good job, Sam!
Riflery-Advanced
The first COD for session 2 of Advanced Riflery goes to Ethan Simpson for helping show fellow campers how to use the shotguns and rifles! Ethan also demonstrated how to load the magazines and gun safety.
Rock Climbing
Our COD in 4th period rock climbing, Zayden Tibbs pulled up ready and rearing to climb. Not only did he dominate on the wall, but he caught a fellow camper while spotting to save the day! Quinn Balch absolutely crushed it today in 5th period rock climbing. Two periods and three tokens worth of awesomeness pushed Quinn higher and higher up the wall with every climb. Absolutely incredible showing them this Bonner Babe!
Rocketry
In first period rocketry, our COD was Arabella Machet! She created some beautiful rocket-themed arts and crafts. We cannot wait to see Arabella begin her rocket scientist journey tomorrow as she begins building her first ever model rocket! She was an amazing camper and truly adaptable to the challenges of rocketry!
Roller Hockey
Nolan? More like patience is the name of the game Kelly. Nolan Kelly’s poise and effort might not have been enough to win the game, but his hat trick needs recognition!
Skate Park
A natural! A phenom! A feather! Brette Feather came into the park with moxy and showed us all how to skate!
Soccer
James Maguire is today’s COD in 1st period soccer! Even though he shares a name with Harry Maguire, thank goodness he plays like Messi!
Soccer Ironman
Matt Simmons is 5th period Ironman’s COD. He’s here, he’s there, he’s EVERYWHERE!
Sweeney Fit
Sweeney fit’s very first COD is Clem Lincoln! From demonstrating her leadership during the stretches, to keeping the energy high during every workout, Clem was absolutely incredible. Keep up the great work Clem!
Swimming
Our DND period COD was Hazel Ary. She showed off some superb flips in the pool and had an amazing time on the wibit. An smiles all period, yay Hazel!! Our 4th period swimming COD is Arabella Machet! While at first the wibit was daunting she came out on top with a glorious cannonball! Keep up making a splash!
Swing Dance
Charity Ross is our first COD! She totally pumped up fellow campers with her contagious energy and amazing dance moves! She stood out in a class of stars and I’m so excited to do swing dance with her!
Tennis
Emily Simpson is tennis first COD! Although it was one of the first times she has picked up a racket, she was tenacious and constantly persistent and improved tremendously with a positive attitude! By the end she was keeping good rallies and really showing what tennis is all about!
Theatre
Our COD in 4th period theatre is Sophia Heschel! She was amazing in our games of assassins, guessing 2 assassins and winning the game. She also was great at explaining games to other class members.
Tumbling
Today in 3rd period tumbling, Brette Feather mastered her beautiful backhand-spring despite coming in a little nervous about it. way to go Brette!
Ultimate Frisbee
Today’s COD in 2nd period ultimate frisbee is Bryson Brotherton! He led his team to victory with some fantastic flicks and bangin backhands. #Squaaaw
Video Production
VidPro’s first COD for session 2 goes to Miles Wyatt for his active attitude towards camera comfortability!
Volleyball
Today’s COD in 2nd period volleyball is Clem Lincoln! She brought the energy all period by teaching others the ways and never letting the ball hit the ground. Great work today Clem!
Water Games
In 3rd period water games, Sam Killian was COD for her spectacular enthusiasm and water skills. She helped lead the “Material Gworls” to a 2-1 victory over the “Nuke-em Destroyers”. Amazing job Sam!
Water Park
Max Appleton made a splash as 3rd period waterparks COD! He helped all the younger campers on the jetski and had lots of F-U-N. Taygen Hill and Alan Renteria were everywhere at waterpark, down the slide, off the trampoline and making new friends at waterpark. Good job guys!
Weightlifting
Ryan Holland COD for 3rd period weightlifting! He came in motivated and focused to lift. She was setting an example for everyone in the weight room. Great form on that forearm curl, Ryan!
Zumba
Audrey Chau waka wakaed to 1st period Zumba, shared the spice of life, and pumped it (louder) all the way to earning COD! We love you Audrey! #ZUMBA
