11th Annual Camp Sweeney’s Play for the Day 5K & Festival

8AM Race Check-In, 9AM 5K Start, 9AM to Noon Festival

Join us for our 11th Annual Play for the Day 5K & Festival. Festivities include a live band and dancing, Memorial Day celebrations, and Kid Zone ride and games.
5K Timed Race – $40 – Certified course is timed with age/gender/overall placing recognition.
Family Fun Run – $30 – Fun for everyone.
Virtual Participation – $30 – Cannot attend but still want to participate, you can create a team, raise money to help a lot of great kids all from the comfort of home.

Camp Sweeney has been an beacon of hope for Thea and many other children like her who have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. At just four years old, Thea was faced with a life-altering diagnosis, but with the support of Camp Sweeney, she has transformed into a confident and determined 8-year-old who refuses to let her diagnosis hold her back.
Camp Sweeney is a vital part of Thea’s journey, offering a place where children with Type 1 Diabetes can come together, enjoy all the fun activities of summer camp, and learn valuable management skills. At Camp Sweeney, children like Thea are not defined by their condition, but rather are seen as “normal,” surrounded by peers who understand their struggles and share their experiences.
Our family has been incredibly blessed to have access to Camp Sweeney, but unfortunately, not all families have the financial means to send their children to camp. That’s why we are raising money to support scholarships to Camp Sweeney, ensuring that every child with Type 1 Diabetes has the opportunity to attend.
