Today at Archery we had a mighty explosion when a balloon filled with paint could no longer hold. Thankfully, our Camper of the Day Serena Martin was there to save the day with her nimble footwork. This was followed by her channeling her inner Robin Hood and getting some excellent shots down the range.
Arts and Crafts
Camper of the day Lane Crochet! He whipped out an amazing masterpiece in the little time we had! Way to go Lane!
Alyssa Augustyniak was out of this world at art and positive comments were incredible! Go Alyssa!
Ellie Finch did fantabulous with her puzzle craft and helping charming up a big mess!
Maya Buckley, not only is she incredible fast and wearing up a friendship bracelet, she is also great at showing those who need help the ropes!
Period 2: The Camper of the Day was none other than Nate Pacheco. Throughout the class he helped both teams by playing the catcher for all pitchers. This small act went a long way.
Today on the Sweeney Diamond, Pierson Moore fought through a sore wrist and leg and pitched a great game. Not only did he exhibit perseverance, but also was a good teammate.
Jonah Vieira is Camper of the Day! Jonah was running the offense, hustling on defense, and drilling 3’s all day long. A true floor general, he got everyone on his team involved and made his teammates play better, all while battling lows. Awesome job, Jonah!
John Fritzsch is Camper of the Day! John was a standout in both H.O.R.S.E and the 3 on 3 tournament this morning! Although he did not win the tourney, he kept his head up the whole time, playing selflessly and facilitating some awesome team play. We cannot wait to see more of this out of John throughout the session!
Faith Vogel is the Camper of the Day! Easily the most efficient player on the court, Faith made almost every shot she took in this morning’s scrimmage! She was also a great team player and played some lockdown defense on the other side of the floor. Keep it up, Faith!
Boating and Canoeing
Period 1: Our boating and canoeing camper of the day is Keanna White! Keanna showed impressive leadership skills both in the Vest Nest and out on the water! Keep up the powerful paddling!
Period 2: Will Behnke is our boating and canoeing camper of the day because of his enthusiasm and unending effort to lead his boat all the way across Lake Dealey! Congrats, Will.
Our commentator of the day is Lanie Weyant, for making sure we all know pickles are now illegal in Florida!
Our broadcaster of the day is Sam Presley, for being super pumped about broadcasting and sharing his wicked talent on the piano with all of Sweeneyland!

Period 3: Stand at attention Sweeney for Captain Christian Nicolas for being the challenge course captain for all 3 periods. We couldn’t have done the “I can wall” without you.
Camper of the Day was Samantha Simon who was willing to jump right in and help to lead. Great attitude!

We had a fantastic first day on the new Sweeney Disc Golf Course! Shoutout to our camper of the day Jonah Vieira for slinging some sick throws all day long!

Austin Dubec was so helpful to Bonner Babe Tess Allen in putting a minnow on her line!
Jasmin Slaughter is fishing camper of the day after catching and hanging on to a very large catfish before it broke the line. She kept a great positive attitude and just wanted to get another line in the water.
Levi Battershell is our camper of the day because despite the slow period of fishing he kept his line in the water and was persistent when others may have gotten frustrated.
Lincoln Johnson is camper of the day because of his outstanding resiliency in keeping his head up the whole game. He also had some gnarly snags and a few ankle breakers out there on the Sweeney Field.
Avery Clark is camper of the day today in third period hiking class! She powered up a massive hill with high spirits despite having low blood sugar. She even helped fellow campers who were also experiencing lows. Way to go Avery!
Camper of the day goes to Matthew Lout because he was able to fight through a swarm of mosquitoes and push all the way up to the top of Reaction Hill.

The campers all dominated the Sweeney greens today. More importantly, Liam Ray demonstrated some great leadership skills and led by example for the others in his group.
Hey Hey Sweeney Campers! we had a splatter filled day in paintball! Today’s campers are Lance Hoppinstein and Laramy Smith! Lance showed us some superior tactics out on the field and Laramy showed us the courage of a lion in his first ever game! Way to go boys!
Hey Sweeney Fam! Paintball Jr. was absolutely wild today! The class turned the paintball shed into a beautiful mosaic and our camper of the day, Braylon Williams was able to hit a counselor with a paintball on his very first try! Way to go everyone!
Avery Clark was incredibly patient and respectful as I explained a great deal of rules to a small first period group. She listened well all while setting a great example for the rest of the campers. On top of that, she is an absolute sharp shooter!
We had a superb first day of rocketry! Our Camper of the Day, Will Behnke was a big help and showed off some NASA-level knowledge! Awesome job Will!
We had a blast out on the ice today in Roller Hockey! Whit Deckard was the true leader out there on his skates. He was gliding up and down the ice and giving the Minnesota Blue States some great energy! Way to go Whit!
Gnar! Shredded. Caleb Smith brought some super sick moves to skate park and shared his skills with the other campers too. Gnarly dude!
Today was a fantastic first day in soccer! We had a great time playing world cup and scoring goals as a Sweeney squad! Our camper of the day was Kade McCullough for being a rock star and playing hard all day even after being hit by a ball. Awesome job soccer!
Camper of the Day Rock Hebert was Ironman’s first! He was playing hard, setting up his teammates with savey passes and firing hard shots. GOALLL!
Maya Cidale showed some extreme grit and tenacity today at Sweeney Fit! She performed a perfectly powerful plank that propelled her team into a slight lead! #sweeneystrong
Period 2: Our incredible camper of the day is the super cool, super helpful Morris Man, William Watts! When we ran into a floating island of the Wibit, he was on top to get it back together! Thanks for all your help William!
Period 3: Today’s 3rd period swimming was absolutely sports-tastic!! BJ Morris, of Brown Cabin, showed off his spiral football passes and fake-outs. Great job BJ!
Period 4: The beautiful Bonner Babe, Emerson Jones, is our camper of the day in 4th period swimming! She showed us the coolest aquatic tricks and flips!! Way to go Emerson!
Period 5: Our rockin’ Dillard Doll, Emilie Skipper showed us some serious competition on the Wibit today!! When she wasn’t speeding through those obstacles she was helping other campers have F-U-N by holding our float-away wibit island!
Gracie Brooks was amazing today! She gave swing dance her all and never gave up when class was tough. This Leonard Lady was a ray of sunshine who kept us laughing.
Avery Reller is Camper of the Day because she had never played before and she learned a wicked sick backhand!
Ashley Oliver was Camper of the Day because she overcame her fears and did super awesome back-handsprings!

Sami Chahal kept it cool and collected in lovely blue Lake Dealey today in waterpark. She helped make sure that all the tubers got their fair share. Way to go!
Even though lovely Lake Dealey was a bit chilly today, Maci Hayley did not let that stop her from taking the plunge! She jumped time and time again into the depths of Dealey. Go Maci!
Luke Edwards was a mad man on the tube today. He preserved through fall after fall being crazy and courageous. We have faith that he can keep going strong!
Today, Maraya Sullivan shared her amazing dance skills. She inspired us all with her positive energy and great attitude!
