Arts and Crafts
We had a great day in Arts & Crafts today! It was a busy day with lots to do but was lots of F-U-N nonetheless. In 1st period, Georgia Hollinger did great making a super cute pair of earrings. In 2nd period, Quade Hanson had a great attitude and overall had a great day! In 3rd period, Harry Rahn colored a great dinosaur & kept us all entertained. In 4th period, Gunar Freeman worked hard all class period on his crafts. Way to go guys!
Basketball
Today’s camper of the day is Rese McGruder! He got after it today in pickup and splashed some crazy shots that were unreal!
Boating and Canoeing
B&C had a great last class of the week! Leslie Luedke had so much F-U-N splashing around in the heat today. Aiden Cabrera hopped on the back of the jet ski, winning a jet ski race, and then he jumped in to help pull in boats!
Broadcasting
Hayes Edwards is our camper of the day today for 1st period broadcasting with his great energy and fantastic broadcasting skills! He did a fantastic job making sure there was no empty air time and kept up the energy! Good work Hayes!
Charlie Amis is our 2nd period camper of the day for broadcasting! He did a stellar job of the technical controls and timed every single sound effect perfectly, making sure every moment had some flair! Fantastic computer work Charlie!
Choir
Sadie Thomas was our camper of the day today in choir! She was engaged and signing all period, plus she had a great idea for our talent show song. Great job, Sadie!
Disc Golf
Today’s disc golf camper of the day is Joey Howard who shockingly hasn’t been COD before. Joey may take it easy in class but he also makes it look easy.
Fishing
Fishing COD is Bella Harris for catching lots of little fish and keep the energy up!
We had an amazing day in fishing for our very last Fish Fry Friday. 1st period COD was Halle Krebel. She has been working hard all week long and caught 2 fish today!
2nd period COD was Fahad Emadaldeen. He caught quite a few fish and put a minnow on the hook by himself!
Football
Miles Chase is quite appropriate, given that he’s got the speed to run for “miles”! He showed off his speed & throwing abilities today with some absolute dimes during scrimmage and jackpot. Keep it up King!
Hiking
Starting off the day strong, Mason Dark embodied the Friendly Friday spirit better than we’ve ever seen before in 1st period hiking. Thanks for making our day, Mason!
In the even hotter heat, Jack Taylor once again continued the spirit, making sure to take sufficient sips of Jake Lowry’s water before sending our love and affection outwards.
Last but not least, Brody Almquist, Morris native, rounded out our week full of hiking with sustenance and consistency as a week two hiking class staple.
Lacrosse
Today’s COD in Lacrosse was Alaina Urbach! In today’s scorching heat, the sun was getting to everyone but she stayed out on the field when she was low and played like a boss. Awesome job!
Miniature Golf
Our spectacular COD, Lucy Bartram was fantastic on the course today, overcoming the heat and illness. Way to go!
Roller Hockey
Out in Roller Hockey it was hot and flat but out camper of the day pushed through and played her absolute best. And that camper is none other than Caslyn Gamble! Nice job girly! #flatearthers!!
Sweeney Fit
The Sweeney Swoldiers came ready for a challenge and absolutely dominated our notorious Sweeney Swoldier workout. Georgia Hollinger refused to quit and powered through our toughest workout yet making her our Sweeney Swoldier COD.
Tennis
Today’s tennis COD is Harrison Meckel! he had the opportunity to play some doubles with his junior ment today, and they absolutely killed it! Harrison had such a positive attitude all class period, Yay Harrison!
Tumbling
In Tumbling today Halle Krebel was working very hard to learn the talent show routine! She danced and cheered her way to camper of the day! Thanks for your hard work & attitude Halle!
Ultimate Frisbee
Yesterday’s COD was Connor Long who had an amazing day in ultimate. He is also the creator of the most intricate ultimate clap in the history of Camp Sweeney Ultimate Claps. #gamerz #xbox360 Today’s COD is always killing it on the field! Truly pouring his sweat into the game. We all know him and love him, Jojo Ray! Jojo led his team to a great day in ultimate!
Video Production
Kaleb McEuin, AKA the world’s greatest Junangadon, is today’s Oscar winning, video producing camper of the day! Kaleb played 2 characters in a single skit, both good AND evil. Keep up the great work!
Volleyball
Alex Anderson was today’s COD! He performed exceptionally in Nuke’em with team saving plays! Looks like we may have a new champion! #volleyballswag
Weightlifting
David Sanchez was an absolute beast in the weight room. He used all the equipment in the class and had great enthusiasm. Great work!
Zumba
He D-low shuffled once, he D-low shuffled twice and it rained on him. Give it up for birthday boy and Zumba regular Charlie Crawford!
