Today’s COD was Avi Grishman! Avi shot some flaming arrows in class today, grazed the bullseye, and most importantly, he went through all the safety steps before shooting his arrows making him both a stellar and a safe archer, fitting for camper of the day!
Arts & Crafts
Hailing form the Dillard Dolls, Ashley Allen was a ray of sunshine today and her positivity and creativity made period 2 the place be! This Bonner Babe not only tried new things today, but was respectful and creative all at the same time! Marlie Marshall did amazing things today! Cady Blair, hailing from Dillard cabin was one of the most positive campers in Arts & Crafts today. She puts so much thought in to her art while always helping others! This beautiful Bonner Babe not only was smiling the entire class, but also so kind. Period 4 COD goes to Nadia Stanback for helping, affirming and being so sweet to everyone!
Mariana Peters brought her softball skills to the baseball diamond! She showed off her tremendous skill and effort as she fielded some groundballs. She also showed off her cannon of an arm throwing across the field!
Drew DaVault from Hillcrest was dropping dimes and hitting threes all period long in Advanced Basketball! Nice job, Drew!!
Ashton Khavari from Brown Cabin was a true hooper today in basketball! He showed great effort and sportsmanship! Go, Ashton!
Broadcasting started with a bang today with lively debates, hyper-accurate weather forecasting, and amazing sports announcing! Our CODs are Robert Dyer and Cady Blair! Special shoutouts to Asih Teel, Mckenna Deatherage, and Grayson Brooks for their great attitudes.
Boating and Canoeing
Kolten Chandler had 1st ever experience at our lovely blue Lake Dealey. He boated and canoed his heart out and had a blast! We had so much fun in boating and canoeing today! Not only did our COD, Lucky Hill, sail the 7 seas of Lake Dealey, but he also was the kindest pirate there ever was and helped pull the mighty canoes ashore and on land! Can’t wait for more sunny days on beautiful blue Lake Dealey with most victorious of pirates!
Olivia Glover started out Sweeney’s Challenge Course strong by being brave and climbing the wall first. Simone Frey did the same in 2nd period, inspiring courage for others. Finally, RJ King completed the wall with no assistance and pure upper body strength and determination.
COD for Choir goes to Isabella Thackray. She shared with the class her musical experience which was so unique and interesting. She also gave everyone some good laughs with her voice impressions when we sang Bohemian Rhapsody.
Anna Johnson did a fantastic job today and was truly a leader by example for the other campers. She encouraged everyone and did it was a smile on her face!
Emmett Kempka was amazing in disc golf today by being there to help everyone while sinking some sick shots! Congrats Emmett!
BJ Morris was absolutely destroying everyone at spud today! Every ball he threw got someone, no mercy! BJ helped us all have a great time.
Owen Bradley won camper of the day for his amazing catch for the game winning touchdown in football today and continuing to show great energy and passion!
In period 4 Johnny Meyer caught a big bass this afternoon and shared his victory with the rest of the class. Johnny rarely fishes outside of camp and we are so glad he is here to help us pull in the big ones in 2022. Period 5 Remi Heide, even though it was a really slow day on the water, had a good attitude about it! He kept working at it and didn’t give up until the end! Good job!
1st period Cheyenne James used her expert fishing skills to help other campers with their catches from unhooking to release the fish. She would make, River Monster’s, Jeremy Wade, proud! Great job Cheyenne! Fahed Emadaldeen was so excited for 2nd period fishing today. His energy was contagious for the entire group. He is an absolute Pro as he caught seven fish with each catch being more exciting then the last.
Our hiking COD is Asher Hewlett for first period! Asher dominated the hike even when sore and tired! He was a hiking machine with nothing getting in his way! Kenley Cardona rose to the challenge and is the hiker of the day for second period! Nothing could keep him down and he crushed today’s trail! COD goes to Liam Morales for third period! No matter the hill, no matter the heat, Liam was leading the group. He kept up the pace and the energy for the whole class! COD for fourth period is Conner Bryant! Conner was an absolute trooper today in hiking. Despite the sweltering heat, he stayed at the front of the group and led the other campers to the finish!
Teddy McNally was very enthusiastic and gave it his all throughout the whole period. He never gave up and persevered to the end. He made some amazing shots and a star player today!
Today in mini golf, our COD scored the very first hole in one of fantastic summer 2022! Congrats to Drew Blackwelder for helping us tee off the summer right!
Our COD for first period paintball is Brennan Duckworth as he barely defended the hill against waves of attackers! COD for second period is Nathan Barnes! Although he had never really played paintball before, his enthusiasm and energy helped his team to victory!
Logan Chism is our COD. Logan helped the younger kids with safety and made sure that everyone got a turn on the course.
COD goes to Westover Harvey. While out small group was building rockets today he got everybody engaged with a fun conversation. He helped others when he was finished with his tasks and had a lot of f-u-n! Go Westover!!!
Today’s COD for roller hockey was Noah Maciel! Noah was scoring shots like Wayne Gretsky during roller hockey. Noah led his team to victory and put on a great showing for his first time at roller hockey!
Charley Bellamy-Fetterman was a brave first timer at the skatepark! She busted out cool moves that showed her hard work and determination!
Our first camper of the day goes to Ashton Khavari. He was very enthusiastic and helped add a fun component to our sharks and minnows game this morning!
Wynn Behnke was our COD in ironman soccer. He was a great team player and made some awesome scores for his team!
Natalie Savarese nailed all of our workouts today during Name Game Monday! She is leading us into a #SweeneySwole summer!
Kicking off our session 1 swing dance with Kailyn Claar as our COD. She had the grooviest moves and is so excited to showcase her moves at the Halloween dance.
Peyton Clark was very agile today in the pool, showing off her remarkable swimming abilities. Great job, Peyton! Making Leonard proud! Sulley Arseneau-Hughes was super helpful working with the lifeguard on the wibit secure and f-u-n! He was also a rockstar during the swim test. Ridge Roberts was ballin in the pool all 4th period and was sinking shots while getting to know some new campers! BJ Morris is the COD for 5th period. He practiced great water safety skills.
Today’s tennis COD, Chris Collins, hit some absolutely stellar forehands, backhands, and volleys all class period all while maintaining a super positive attitude! Awesome job, Chris!!
John Michael Barbeito was killing it today in tumbling! He was flipping and jumping all over the mats! Brought so much enthusiasm to the class today!
Caitlin Reeves was bump-bump-bumpin’ it up on the first day of volleyball. She helped our youngest campers get some aces and our oldest counselors keep the energy up. Bump, set, spike it Caitlin!
Today’s Vid Pro COD is Gus Lodato! Gus brought the energy to the first day with his behind-the-camera vision and his modeling brilliance.
3rd period-Today we had a splashing day in the water park! Our first COD dove deep into the spirit of the water park. Congrats Josh Williams! Chris Collins was super helpful in 4th period and earned himself the super title of COD! Lastly, miss Olivia Glover did a fantastic ride on our slide! Congrats campers!
Today’s COD was Dominic Johnson. He was pumping iron like a pro and helped create a super strong atmosphere! Today’s 4th period weightlifting COD is Parker Lyda! Parker was getting his veins poppin and outlifted the whole competition!
Madeline Keffer did such a great job letting everyone share their dance move and waiting her turn. She enthusiastically participated and used her awesome brain power to remember everyone’s name and move! She slayed her disco dance too!!
