Archery
2nd period Archer COD is Emily Johnson! Emily shot some flaming arrows today and popped some special balloons! She showed a lot of improvement in class and was a stellar shot!
Arts & Crafts
Bryson Kahler is 1st period’s COD! He was very positive and energetic and brought so much creativity to Arts & Crafts! Annabelle Strohbehn was so sweet today! She not only was creative and smart but a mentor to her younger peers! Go Annabelle! Leah Goolsby is 4th period’s COD! She is not only artsy & crafty but a mentor to all of her A & C friends! Finally, COD for 5th period is Meric Mosley. She not only is so helpful but also artistic & happy! Yay Meric!
Baseball Advanced
Logan Chism played an awesome catcher today! He caught all 6 of our pitchers. Logan also helped one of his cabin friends pick up all the scattered baseballs!
Basketball
Bella Martinez was a true hooper today in basketball! She made some great shots, showed great sportsmanship, and always gave her best effort! Great job, Bella!
Basketball Advanced
Today’s COD is Fahed Emadaldeen! Fahed was amazing on the court. He had some great blocks and some amazing step-back threes!
Boating and Canoeing
1st period the clouds were dense and the boats were tipping but that didn’t keep Lawton Lee from joining the fun and manning our tricky paddle boats. Allie Natho was a big help today. Some Bonner Babes were weary of the cold water but Allie was able to encourage them and captained the big canoes.
Broadcasting
Broadcasters today had a phenomenal time coming up with new segment ideas, covering everything from minecraft stories, video game rankings, to moth facts and weird airplane occurrences! The COD goes to Donna Chen and Ellie Finch for their proactive research and delightful presence in the booth! Special shoutout to Julia Claire Jex for her investigation journalism on moths-more to come!
Challenge Course
1st period Camille Gosch kicked off the day with a standing jump off the power pole. 2nd period Emme Kate Davidson conquered a fear of heights with her jump. 3rd period Nico Parkhill got the closest we’ve ever seen this year to grabbing the trapeze!
Choir
COD is Roland Perry! Roland managed to showcase his musical talents, while simultaneously teaching the class his good ideas! He also was selfless and compromised on the chosen talent show song. His attitude was wonderful. Overall, Roland’s actions/character spoke volumes.
Cross Country
Our COD was Rylee Carter! Rylee has been one of the most consistent runners that is always so kind and sweet! She has a good heart and has really made our class a nice environment!
Fishing
Nathan Barnes was determined to catch his first today. We were amazed to see Nathan reeled in not 1, not 2, but 3 fish! He was so excited it looked like he was about to jump right off the dock! Exciting thing to come from Nathan! Jackson Lettenmaier surprised everyone today by catching the biggest fish so far this session! He should be fishing with the pros with a catch like that! After three long afternoons of fishing Ashton Khavari has pulled in his first catch! His celebration brought smiles to all that saw and we are excited to have him in session one!
Fishing Pro
On our first boat trip of the summer Renner Kottmeier reeled in a two plank bass! We can not wait to see more of Renner on El Pescado this session!
Football
Today’s COD is Sam Wolfe for the impact he made on both sides of the field today! Not only did he have an offensive touchdown but a defensive one as well! The next Deion Sanders?
Frisbee Ultimate
Our COD, John Ash, was killing it on war paint Wednesday. He was flinging the frisbee up and down the field and making sure everyone got a turn to catch! GO JOHN! Today it was Louie Giddings with the sickest catch seen on the ultimate field in years. JUST WOW!
Hiking
As a true leader, Gabe Hunter stepped up and lead the class in stretches and was in the front of the group the entirety of the hike! His courage made him our hiker of the day! Madeline Keffer did an awesome job of stepping out of her comfort zone and into the middle of the group to help with the cool at the end of our hike she did a great job and was our COD!
Lacrosse
Today’s COD Marin Ray made an amazing goal and gave it her all throughout the game. She showed great defense skills and was very enthusiastic throughout the whole period!
Miniature Golf
Today in mini golf, Charley Bellamy-Fetterman played an amazing 18 hole round! She got the first hole-in-one of the day and was an amazing friend to everyone in the class! Go Charley!
Paintball Combat
Today’ s COD 1st period is Wynn Behnke! During protect the President Wynn stepped up as the President and did a great job during the game! Congrats! Our 2nd period COD is Nick Randazzo! Nick did an awesome job charging the field on offense and helping lead his team!
Riflery
Today’s COD goes to Bryson Brotherton for learning how to safely load a magazine and for catching up on the final shot of the tournament to lead his team to victory!
Riflery Advanced
Cheney Parkhill was today’s COD. She demonstrated the virtue of patience while simultaneously being the fastest one on the range with a load unload time of 36 seconds.
Rock Climbing
4th period, Bella Martinez is today’s COD! She was the first camper of fantastic summer 2022 and graciously allowed younger campers to go first! 5th period, Jhett Claassen is today COD! He never gave up and gave it his all on every wall he climbed, good job Jhett!
Rocketry
1st period COD goes to Liam Morales. He was so dedicated to helping our new rocketeers with their rockets! He even cracked a couple of funny jokes!
Roller Hockey
Today’s COD is none other than the legend Grayson Smith! Grayson scored multiple sweet shots at roller hockey today. Even with a damaged hockey stick, Grayson was able to put on an impressive performance that was NHL worthy.
Skatepark
1st period All the way from Bonner Kenisen Galchutt amazed all of us with her skills! She was extremely brave and rode down all the big ramps! CONGRATS!
Soccer
1st period soccer, Teddy McNally was our COD today. He played today’s world cup game with good sportsmanship, integrity, and was able to show off his ball control with the goals he scored!
Soccer Ironman
Paul Suarez is our COD for ironman today. He scored amazing goals in our world cup game, especially his header! His team also won the whole game and he kept the energy up all class!
Sweeney Fit
Shoutout to our COD for Wind-down Wednesday, Hannah Meyer! She did a great job being attentive for the whole period and pushing herself! Way to go, Hannah!
Swimming
Dominic Johnson is COD for swimming. Today he absolutely DESTROYED the competition in our first wibit races of the year! Great job to Dominic, making Brown proud! Inara Colon was the pinnacle of girl power today on the wibit. COD goes to Inara! Great job and keep up the good work. Our COD for 4th period is Oliver Schuller. She was the pinnacle of girl power today on the wibit and really made Leonard Cabin proud, Great job Oliver! Drew Blackwelder is the COD for swimming. He was tearing it up on the wibit in the pool and shooting some amazing baskets.
Tennis
Although it was the camper’s first day in tennis, he came out to the courts with a whole lot of swag and confidence. Today’s COD, Jhett Claassen, truly led the class as king during king of the court!
Tumbling
Our COD today was Miss Mila Robson! She was super eager to try new skills! I am so proud for her excitement of learning new things. Keep up the awesome work!
Volleyball
The cloudy skies didn’t stop our COD, Korbin Thayer, from being a bright star on the sand volleyball court today! From offering to open his team up for anyone to join to acting as a leader during scrimmages, Korbin was always ready to play with a smile on his face. Thanks for blasting the class with FUN, Korbin.
Water Park
Congrats to our wonderful CODs! Our lovely Dealey divers were so helpful. Robert Dyer was a terrific tube aid. Callie Duncan was an outstanding leader, and Alyzabeth Mitchell had the most F-U-N!
Weightlifting
Today’s 3rd period weightlifting COD was Cali Jomsky! She was truly a leader today in the weight room: leading stretches, demonstrating exercises, and keeping everyone active. Great job, Cali! Today’s COD was Grayson Smith! He killed it on the squat rode, fly machine, and even did some ups. Got a great pump in!!
Zumba
Ellie Finch, our COD today in zumba did a fantastic job participating in our throwback dances and meditation Wednesday practice! She might even be giving Richard Simmons himself a run for his money! Go Ellie!
