Arts & Crafts
Ally Dimmitt did amazing today in period 2 advanced arts & crafts! She was so positive & energized! Yay Ally! Taylor Phifer did very well today with her garlands! She even helped others! Yay Taylor! Cheyenne James was so good today! Not only with others, but did exceptionally well! Yay Cheyenne! Bayla Wigler did amazing today! She was so positive! Yay Bayla!
Boating & Canoeing
Flippin fish Friday is always a blast and a half. Christian Daughtry really made it a blast and a whole! He made sure everyone was having fun and being safe during our chaotic F-U-N! Sydney Mayo was the most enthusiastic, kind, & helpful captain on Lake Dealey today. She made the last boating & canoeing class of the week truly special.
Broadcasting
The last day of broadcasting week 1 ends with a splash as Hayes Edwards graduates from minnow to shark on the KPFC airwaves! Meanwhile, Gabe Sellers in period 1 also earned COD with his phenomenal attitude and engagement both in & out of the booth!
Challenge Course
1) Julia Brumer took challenge course by storm this morning, helping friends, being brave and flying down the zipline. Congrats on COD! 2)Isla Matusewitch brought a positive energy that inspired others all morning. Nice job and congrats on a well-deserved COD win! 3)Truett Dodgen showed courage, respect, and kindness at CC, and wins 3rd period COD!
Choir
COD goes to Jaylon Harrison! His enthusiasm and love for music is unlike no other. His participation is very much appreciated. Jaylon’s talents are not unnoticed. A TRUE ROCKSTAR!
Cross Country
Shoutout to our COD Ellie Linde who was showing awesome effort and perseverance in XC today! She was very supportive of her fellow runners and absolutely crushed the lake run!
Disc Golf
Today’s COD was amazing on the course with lots of F-U-N and sprinklers present! Congrats, Annie Ferguson!
Fishing
1st period fishing COD goes to Rodrigo Fragoso Aguilar! Although no fish were caught today, Rodrigo kept a positive attitude the entire period! Earlier in the week, he even caught his first fish! Keep up the great work, Rodrigo!
Fishing Pro
Brian Ipina is our COD for pro fishing. We love having Brian on the dock. He is always positive and encourages others throughout the period. He is a great example for our young fishermen as he fishes the entire time! Great work, Brian!
Football
Today’s COD is Josh Dotson! He has been an amazing QB for his teams throughout the week and helped lead his teams to victory! He had great precision and accuracy on his throws that would make Drew Brees proud!
Hiking
Hiking Period 1: Our COD brought all the energy for our first friendly Friday of session 3! Anna Nicholson brought the volume and the friendliness to make it a great hiking class. Period 2: This COD spread the love for all the activities today! Alivia Novara embodied friendly Friday and did an awesome job helping lead the class in stretches and chants! Period 3: This COD paved their own course for the hike today, as the class went on the excursion to find some cows. Even when unsuccessful Landon Jackman was still motivated and kept up a great hike. Period 5: This COD finished off friendly Friday strong and loud! Even though it was their first day in class, Colin Moore was ready to go and made a great addition to our class!
Lacrosse
Today’s COD is Sadie Mayo! Sadie was a true LAXER on the field. She made the first goal and played amazing offense and defense. She also helped with the setup and cleanup and was very helpful. Congrats, Sadie!
Miniature Golf
Today’s mini golf COD, Grant Miller, did a great job helping keep the course clean and supporting everyone in the class! Grant had such a fun week putting it up on the course!
Riflery
Jackson Crowe was a great shot in riflery today. He did something we all aspire to do in riflery. Jackson hit exactly where he was aiming shattering the clay!!
Riflery Advanced
Gunar Freeman may have joined late, but he has been a terrific addition to the advanced riflery squad. Today he made a vibrant tie dye shirt and successfully hit a clay while hip firing a shotgun!!
Rock Climbing
Today’s 4th period rock climbing COD is Kobe Wilson! He was patient, encouraging, and conquered mount Ernie! Amazing job, Kobe! 5th periods COD is Andres Labastida! He was so awesome in class and was very understanding of everyone and their rock climbing abilities. Overall positive attitude. Congrats, Andres!
Rocketry
Our rocketeer Avery Fender is the COD because she was so enthusiastic about her rocket launch & loves rocketry so much she might come back for a second week. She was also cheering on the other rocket launches & was happy for them.
Soccer
Today’s soccer COD was Ivy Bement! She was all over the field and did an awesome job helping out in the goal too! We love you, Ivy!
Soccer Ironman
Today’s ironman COD was Lucy Naff! She is a great teammate and kept up her spirits all class. She had some great touches and is always working hard. Great job, Lucy!
Sweeney Fit
Eleanor McCalpin was the perfect example of a true Sweeney Swoledier today! They were pushing their limits and putting in the effort all class period long, and refused to give up while taking on the Swoledier challenge!
Swimming
COD for 4th period swimming is Jack Cooper. Jack was having so much fun with his mentor today and was splashing away. Great job, Jack! COD for 5th period swimming is Joshua Dotson. He really made Morris proud with his basketball skills today. Definitely a varsity starting point guard. Congrats!
Swing Dance
Topher Cezeaux showed his amazing dance moves and put on a thrilling performance! He’s so ready for the Halloween dance performance. Go Topher!!
Tennis
Today’s COD is Isaiah Ortega!! Isaiah was an absolute champ all class-from picking up balls to sprinting all around the court. Isaiah was having F-U-N to the M-A-X! As our favorite minion would say, keep going BANANAAAS Isaiah!!
Tumbling
Our last COD of the week is Miss Lauren Steele! She really killed it this week. Trying all new skills and mastering some old. She kept up great energy and made class extra F-U-N! Great job this week, Lauren!
Video Production
Today’s Vid Pro COD is Avery Fender! Avery’s creativity and enthusiasm really shined this class- she was on point with hilarious suggestions and ideas for our upcoming skit. Great job, Avery!
Volleyball
Volleyball’s COD was Caroline Campbell. She was all over the court and had some great serves, even with battling some high blood levels. What a beast!!
Water Park
Our CODs came splasing into Waterpark! Eli Strittmatter raced his way around Lake Dealey! Caroline Campbell rode Dealey tides with her ride on the tube! Caroline Morris showed how much F-U-N waterpark can be!
Weightlifting
Today’s 3rd period COD was Corbynn Tackett!! She hit the weights with a purpose and was reminiscent of the start of the Roman Empire. Pure grit and determination!! Today’s 4th period COD was Ethan Sanders!! He has been balling out all week and putting in that extra work needed to get absolutely gigantic. Keep it up, Mr. Olympia!!
Zumba
Our COD, Annie Snow, finished this week of zumba off strong by going all out for fan favorite Friday. She showed off her split and stayed in the front row to encourage the other campers and show them how it’s done! Way to go, Annie!
