Sweeney Health Update
July 3, 2022: 9:45 a.m.
After being blessed to have a Covid free summer, yesterday, July 2, we experienced our first small cluster of COVID-19 cases.
We have implemented our Phase 1 protocol, which is to test all campers and staff who present with symptoms and isolate anyone who tests positive. On Saturday the Phase 1 protocol did detect some positive cases. These campers were isolated, their parents were contacted, and campers were asked to return to their homes. At this time, parents of campers who have tested positive for COVID-19 during Phase 1 protocols have been contacted.
We will continue to monitor for cases and are ready to implement Phase 2 protocols if needed. Phase 2 requires all staff to be masked in indoor settings and provides and promotes masking for campers in indoor settings.
Fortunately, 100% of our staff is vaccinated and the majority of our campers are as well. At present, all Camp F-U-N activities will proceed as scheduled. The health of our campers and staff remains our top priority. We will keep you updated on any changes to our protocols.
