Sweeney Health Update
July 7, 2022: 4:00 p.m.
Since our last update on Sunday, July 3, we have continued to operate our Phase 1 protocols and further implemented Phase 2 mitigation protocols. Phase 2 requires all staff to be masked in indoor settings and provides and promotes masking for campers in indoor settings. Also, we have expanded testing capacity for cabins that have been exposed to COVID-19.
As a result of Phase 2 protocols, we are pleased to report that the number of new daily cases has dropped to, or near zero. At this time, parents of campers who have tested positive for COVID-19 have been contacted.
Per CDC guidelines and the recommendation of our medical directors, our first group of campers who returned home to rest and recuperate on July 2 will begin to return to Camp Sweeney after five days of isolation and being symptom free for the most recent 24 hours. We are excited to welcome back healthy campers.
We are prayerful that the last six days of second session remain healthy and full of F-U-N to the M-A-X. The health of our campers and staff remains our top priority. We will keep you updated on any changes to our protocols.
