Archery
The COD in Archery second period was Noman Mandavia! His form is impeccable and he kept trying until he hit the balloon. Go Noman!
Arts & Crafts
Arts and Crafts had some amazing CODs today. Second period COD was Emalyna Vazquez!She made a bracelet and helped others finish theirs! Go Emalyna! Our third period COD was Caroline Stegent! She was helping clean up from tie dye, and overall being a great arts-and-crafter! Yay Caroline! Congrats to Madeline Hauptli who is the fourth period COD! Madeline was a boss at bracelet making and even shared her personal beads with other campers! Congrats! And our last COD was fifth period’s Lucy Hoelscher! Lucy embodied the Arts and Crafts spirit today – even reusing the beads in first period in second period! We have Lucy two times per day!
Baseball
Huge shoutout to the second period Baseball COD Chris Messina! Talk about doing it all in a small package! Chris was killing it on the field today. I’ve never seen a kid his size do what he can on the diamond. Can’t wait for tomorrow! Congrats Chris! #Pickle# Great Bambino!!!!
Basketball
In period 3 Basketball our COD was Emma Joyce! Emma lit up the court and carried her team in the 2’s tournament with her great shooting and drive to win. Absolutely sensational day on the court!
Basketball Advanced
Our COD in first period Basketball Advanced was Alaina Dudley! Alaina brought all the spirit to the court today. She didn’t give up all week and today she was on it, barely missing any shots and placing the ball perfectly in her team’s hands, all the while playing lock-down D!!!
Boating and Canoeing
In period 1 Boating and Canoeing our COD was Sam Killian! She held her ground during a cabin chant war and switched boats successfully. Keep it up! In period 2 Boating and Canoeing the COD was Madelynne Neece! She’s always such a great pirate and flips boats all over Lake Dealey. Even though she’s constantly overboard, Madelynne often rules the lake!
Broadcasting
Whoa there! You’re gonna want to pay attention when Silas Mihalyi is on the mic! Our amazing COD in first period Broadcasting is always making sure everyone is having fun. We love his energy! And what’s up Sweeney?! Keep a lookout for Esme Hennessy on the mic! Our second period Broadcasting COD quickly learned how to be comfortable on the mic and gave us an incredible show!
Challenge Course
In Challenge Course, our first period COD was Layla St. John! Layla was being super brave and having F-U-N on the zip-line! Second period Challenge Course COD was Parker Lyda! He was a champ while flying down the zip-line today for the 1st time this session. The COD in third period Challenge Course was Charlie Olesen-Mabey! It was Charlie’s first time going down and he was very chatty with everyone on the platform.
Choir
Choir’s COD is the legend himself, Robbie Heaton! Robbie has been a stud every day in choir, bringing his acoustic, bass, and vocal talents to class, enhancing our experience and uplifting other campers. Congrats, Robbie!
Cross Country
Today’s Cross Country COD was Noah Maciel! Noah is a true cross country legend, and he was very deserving of the COD award after the work he put in today! Noah always leads our pack with his speed, and was a beast in our game of Freeze Tag today! Congrats Noah!
Disc Golf
Our Disc Golf COD in fourth period was Charlie Hauptli! Charlie was on fire today with his throws and holes in one! Congrats!
Field Games
Our very deserving COD in period 3 Field Games was Ryan West! Ryan was an absolute boss today with his positive attitude in the face of adversity (aka walking from the SAC to the field), as well as his awesome cheerleading skills were exactly why he got COD. We love Ryan!
Fishing
For first period Fishing our COD was Denton Yaeger-Hernandez! Denton perfected his fish flipping skills, and now he’s what we call a pro flipper! Your technique is on point!! The fifth period COD in Fishing was Lindsey Kate Cummings! Fabulous Lindsey was an amazing fisher and catching a 3 planker for Fish Fry Friday! She was patient, resilient, and energetic the whole period!
Fishing Pro
Our second period Pro Fisher/COD was Braylon Williams! His expertise in fishing really showed through when he was catching fish on El Pescado! Great job, man!!!
Football
In second period Football our COD was Cameron Tishgart! She set the tune for the game by scoring a touchdown on the first play and being happy for her teammates successes! Go Cameron!
Hiking
We had four great CODs in Hiking today! Our first period COD was M Musial! M was a true leader today and showed the hills of Camp Sweeney what it means to hike! second period COD was Kenley Kieschnick! Kenley worked hard and led the stretch circle of 44 campers! She was an outstanding hiker today and wore a smile the whole period! our 3rd period COD was Callum MacGregor! Callum took the lead in stretching and showed Sweeney what it means to be a role model! He also led the hike with passion and enthusiasm! The last Hiking COD of the day was fifth period’s Aaron Ackles! His spirit resonates in the hills!!!
Lacrosse
Today’s Lacrosse Top Chedder Shredder award went to fourth period’s Jonah King! Jonah led team Bonner Babes to a tough 6 – 5 loss today. Despite the loss, Jonah ripped several G’s and A’s for his team!
Miniature Golf
Fourth period Miniature Golf COD was A.J. Schiebler! He was an awesome participant in today’s Token Thursday competition. The spinning windmill was no match for him, and he won our First Annual Hole in One competition!
Paintball Combat
First period’s Paintballin’ Combat COD was Addy Murphy! Addy helped out the counselors and fought hard on the course all period! Second period COD in Paintball Combat was Rowan Peterson! He was making moves and taking down opponents all period!
Paintball Junior
Our amazing COD in fifth period Paintball Junior was Reid Welch! He always has a great attitude and he is incredible at Capture the Flag!
Riflery
It sure is hot out today! But what is even hotter is Colton Buchanan’s shots today in Sweeney Riflery! With extreme aim, speed and precision, Colton had what it took to get it done! He’s our COD for today! #Skipow
Riflery Advanced
F-I-R-S-T T-I-M-ERS! Go Sebastion Freire! Today in Advanced Riflery, Sebastian shot a shotgun. Knocked down some skeet for the first time ever! It was so crazy! Way to go Sebastian! #Kachow!
Rock Climbing
The fifth period COD in Rock Climbing showed heart and determination today! Though she has a fear of heights, Noa Eisenberg has been having a blast all session and has risen up to the challenge. Congratulations girl! The fourth period COD in Rock Climbing was Liam McQueary! He showed so much F-U-N and improvement on Mt. Nick. See you at the top, Liam!
Rocketry
The first period Rocketry COD of Launch Day was Hunter Korsberg! Not only did he launch his rocket super high, but he showed great perseverance when his second rocket didn’t work due to a motor failure. Hunter will be launching again on Flyday Friday!
Soccer
In first period Soccer our COD was Nolan Kelly! Nolan came up clutch in the penalty shootout today. He’s got ice water in his veins!
Soccer Ironman
The COD in fifth period Soccer Ironman was Olivia Hexsel! She showed great enthusiasm and brought the energy when she scored her first goal!
Sweeney Fit
The fourth period COD in Sweeney Fit is Colt Crum! Colt rocked the relay race today, as he’s done all week! #BEAST
Swimming
The fourth period Swimming COD was Ryan West! Ryan is our most enthusiastic swimmer and comes every day for 1st and 2nd session! Charlee Mihills was swimming, sliding, and wibiting her way to 5th period COD!
Swing Dance
Fourth period Swing Dance COD was Mary Blair Johnson! She really gave it her best in the class and was always motivated and with great energy! Congrats Mary Blair!
Tennis
Today in Tennis, the Queen of the Court and COD was Clare Moore! She slayed her racket today and triumphed those tennis balls all over Sweeneyland! Yay Clare!
Theater
The fourth period Theater Arts COD was Sam Killian! She did a fantastic job learning the new choreography and really brought the energy to class today! Great job Sam!
Tumbling
Today’s COD in third period Tumbling was Sophie Mendoza! She came to tumbling with a hype attitude and she was committed to the grind. A huge round of applause is in order for Sophie for her efforts and also for doing her back handspring by herself for the first time!
Video Production
In period 5 Video Production our COD was Michael Vanderbrook! He did such a good job leading our video today! Way to go Michael!
Volleyball
In second period Volleyball the COD was J.C. Contreras! He was extremely helpful in facilitating the class and fetching the ball between games! Go J.C.!
Waterpark
Waterpark had some Great CODs today! In Period 3 it was Gianna Briggs! At first she wasn’t anxious to get in the water, but she slowly grew confident and started having fun in Lake Dealey!!! We are so proud of Gianna! Period 4 COD was Liam McQueary! He still got into the water and had a super positive attitude even though he wasn’t feeling well. Great job, Liam! And finally in period 5 Waterpark our COD was Jackson Galen! He tried to beat his own record on the slide relay 3 times and even when he was tired, he still persevered through the pain! Way to go Jackson!
Weightlifting
Our Sweeney Lifters showed out today! Our 3rd period COD is Andres Rios for putting in the effort day in and day out in the weight room! Our fourth period COD is Cali Smith for staying focused and getting a good workout in, despite a large class with limited room. Our final COD in 5th period is Alaina Dudley for being a leader with her effort and dedication. Congrats to these Sweeney Lifters!
Zumba
Our first period Zumba COD was Maddie Steffler! She had so much F-U-N and was always dancing! Congrats!
