Advanced Riflery
COD in Advanced Riflery was Connor Bryant. In another fantastic day at the range, Conner tore it up shooting skeet!! To prove it he even hit his first 3 clays! #BANG!
Archery
The lovely Ellie Hodge is our camper of the day! She jumped right into shooting even though it was her first time and picked it up so fast!
Arts & Crafts
Oliver Schuller is our COD in second period Arts & Crafts! He offered help to anyone who asked & was a fabulous participant today! Yay Oliver! Third period COD was Nadia Stanback. She was a SUPERSTAR today in Arts & Crafts! She brings enthusiasm to everything she does, and is always looking out for others! Meric Mosley was an amazing table mate today! She aided those around her during the craft and was a great friend to all! Meric is a STAR! Lincoln Reese was an AMAZING asset to our 5th period classroom! She was a PRO at helping us in organizing and aiding those around her! She is a friend to all ! We love having her in Arts & Crafts!….
Advanced Basketball
Jasmine Slaughter is COD in Advanced Basketball. Jasmine blew out the competition and shocked the other team with an unstoppable jumper and some impressive post moves. Her basketball experience really showed in the class as she served as the cornerstone for her team!
Baseball
There is nothing like warm weather, excited kids, a leather ball and a bat! Our baseball boss did amazing today and made the Sweeney “diamond” proud! Congrats to our COD, Robert Dyer, who did fantastic today with 2 big hits and being a “stud” on the bag at first. We’ll see you for 4 more innings tomorrow!!!
Basketball
COD in Basketball was Andrew Breen! Andrew showed no fear standing up against the big kids in basketball. He showed grit by standing back up after a a tough fall and shocked the others after draining several tough shots through good defense. Truly an inspirational performance!
Boating and Canoeing
COD for Boating and Canoeing was Everton Oliveira. He was such a big help in fending off the pirates of Lake Dealey by helping his sinking crew mates! His kindness kept the crew afloat! Charlie Russell was also COD in Boating and Canoeing! Charlie had so much F-U-N today! He showed great leadership by jumping out of his canoe and helping a younger camper who had tipped over. He even swam the canoe all the way back to shore! What a great friend! Way to go Charlie!
Broadcasting
First period COD in Broadcasting was Claire Shinn! Claire lit up the room with her incredible fun facts! We can’t wait to hear what else is left in store! Second period COD is Aiyra Lulla. We heard some great stories and myths behind the Grey Ghost of Camp Sweeney from Aiyra. Spooky!!!
Challenge Course
First period Challenge Course COD was Dylan Bush. Dylan had an awesome idea of grabbing a frisbee to play with the other kids who ere waiting their turn for zip line today! Way to go Dylan! Second period COD was Emily Johnson! Emily conquered her fears today as she zipped down the zip line in the Bonner Babe fashion! Can’t wait to watch her climb higher later this week! You rock, Emily! In third period Challenge Course today’s COD was Dominic Reinhart! This camper showed a lot of enthusiasm to ride the zip line today, was bursting with excitement hiking up to the zip line and was even happier on his way down!
Choir
COD today was Roland Peery! He had a great time in Choir class, bringing the energy and even going the extra mile to educate us on some advanced music technology terminology!
Cross Country
COD for Cross Country was Scout Rollans! He was totally tubular traversing the twisty trails in Trail Run Tuesday!
Disc Golf
COD in Disc Golf was Daniel Witty! Daniel was all over the course throwing frisbees left and right and the rain didn’t stop him! Congrats Daniel!
Field Games
Down at the field, Nate Liggett won COD for his amazing sportsmanship and inclusivity. He ran faster during Red Rover than any Jurangadon and his enthusiasm provided lots of F-U-N for every person in the class!
Football
COD in football goes to Mckenna Deatherage after uniting her team and scoring the game winning touchdown in the final play of the game!
Fishing
Our first period COD in Fishing went to none other than Kellen Kocsis! He consistently kept his line in the water and gave it his all when he was fishing…no matter how long it took, Kellen was determined. Second period COD in fishing goes to Faith Vogel who helped our campers fish by putting bait on their hooks, teaching others how to cast, and holding fish for them! Go Faith for supporting others and being an amazing fisherperson!!!
Hiking
We had tons of F-U-N in hiking yesterday! Christian Brady was COD in first period for his excitement, knowledge and awesome impressions! The second period COD was Zach Gatteys because he showed leadership and helped the other campers test! Avery Clark was our COD in third period for her awesome job with leading and navigation. During fifth period, Rachel Simmons, the COD was super enthusiastic and kind!
Lacrosse
Lax COD goes to Brayson Horton! Brayson dominated today’s passing, catching and shooting drills like a true Lax Bro!
Miniature Golf
COD of Miniature Golf, Ashton Khavari, showed great enthusiasm today, making it a goal to finish all 18 holes and encouraging other campers as well. He even won our “Hole in One” Competition!
Paintball Junior
JoCyah Ivery is COD in Paintball Junior! He is awesome at Capture the Flag, and he is one tough cookie!!!
Paintball Combat
First period COD in Paintball Combat is Everton Oliveira!!! He pushed the fort immediately and took down his opponents!!! Our 2nd period COD in Paintball Combat is Anthony Alvarado! He helped his counselors, and he was making some super, stealthy moves!
Riflery
Today in Riflery class we had another awesome day at the range! Our COD was Jarred Cain! Jarred was superb and hit the bullseye with ease!
Rock Climbing
Our COD in our 4th period Rock Climbing was Avi Grishman. Avi tackled our “blindfold challenge” head on and showed amazing persistence and problem solving to help his teammates climb high! Another COD was in 5th period Rock Climbing. Ellie Johnson touched the moon twice and was very helpful to her fellow climbers! Congrats Ellie!
Rocketry
COD in Rocketry is Robert Dyer! Today he took his skills to new heights! Robert built and launched his first rocket hundreds of feet into the Sweeney sky!!!
Roller Hockey
Dylan Bush showed his might in the rink today with impeccable offense and over 25 goals made with an offensive takeover! Congrats Dylan on being COD in Roller Hockey!
Skatepark
COD in Skatepark is Izetta Fuller! She proved her courage finding her balance on the Skate Park. Amazing rising performance by her!
Soccer
Our COD in Soccer was Lyla Dalasta! Lyla was a great teammate during Soccer. When we played “Sharks and Minnows” she was helping both teams no matter which one she was on!
Soccer Ironman
Olivia Moss never stopped working hard in World Cup and scored a last minute goal to save her team from elimination! She is Soccer Ironman COD! Congrats Olivia!
Sweeney Fit
Sweeney Fit COD was Felix Holland! Felix embodied mental toughness and grit while taking on one of Sweeney Fit’s most arduous challenges – the Jurangadon Chase. Felix set a precedent at excellence and led his team to victory!
Swimming
In 4th period Swimming, COD goes to BJ Morris for his impressive pool length football throws and great attitude! In fifth period Swimming the COD was Mckenna Carra for her enthusiastic splashing and encouraging fellow campers to “jump in”!! In second period Swimming, the COD goes to Jarred Cain! He earns this honor for his skills and excellent sportsmanship while earning the “Sharks and Minnows” Championship!
Swing Dance
Our COD in Swing Dance was Sarina Adhikari! Sarina really gave her best learning the thriller moves. She was of great help to the other campers and was super invested in the class. Keep it up Sarina!
Tennis
Today’s Tennis COD is Nate Liggett! Nate is the most helpful and supportive camper! He is a tennis star and is always cleaning up balls for the rest of the campers. Thanks for all your help today Nate! Congrats!
Theater
Our COD in Theater class was Olivia Schuller! Not only were her acting skills Broadway ready, but she also came up with skit ideas for her friends all on her own!
Tumbling
She was so helpful and supportive to her friends in Tumbling class and helped lead stretching, as well as working super hard on her backbend kick-over, so today’s COD was Sarina Adhikari!!!
Video Production
Today’s COD was Hannah Osteen! She did amazing using her accents on our first day of podcasting in Video Production class! We’re ready for an extraordinary summer!
Volleyball
Ben Anders stepped up today in volleyball, taking a leadership position and getting everybody involved and active, making him the COD!
Water Games
COD in Water Games was Claire Shinn because she played all day and encouraged her fellow campers! Congrats Claire!
Water Park
Our COD in Water Park was Olivia Glover from Bonner! She was super duper brave today and went on the slide for the first time with SOAP and had so much F-U-N! Another COD was Wesley Johnston! Wesley has been waiting for 2 days to ride the jetski. He has been a very good sport about it and today he finally got his chance to ride the jetski!!!
Weightlifting
Our third period COD for Weightlifting is Hayden Swartout for giving great effort and intensity in the weight room. Our fourth period COD is Scout Rollans, as he was constantly getting gains and inspiring those around him to do the same. Last but certainly not least, 5th period’s COD was William Kennedy for not only getting fit himself, but he helped those around him stay on track in the weight room too. Congrats to all the Sweeney Lifting CODs!!!
Zumba
Our COD today in Zumba is Chloe Goings! She had so much F-U-N today, and always had a smile on her face!She did such a great job making everyone feel included! Great job Chloe!
