Arts & Crafts
Today in tye-dye Isabella Mitchell dyed-that-tye!!! Making a fabulous t-shirt & accessory, Isabella is ready for fashion school! Great job today, Isabella! WOOHOO! Sabrina Streich tye-dyed away in arts & crafts today. Lending a helping hand to younger campers, she was truly a role-model. Slay Sabrina slay! Olivia Glover drew her heart out doing arts & crafts today! She was a superb camper & we can’t wait to see her tomorrow!!! Vivienne Molen was a joy to talk to & was super awesome at crafting today! She absolutely killed it & we’re so lucky to have her in our class.
Baseball
Who said homerun Derby? That’s right, the baseball bros we’re bombing em all class long. Shoutout to Andrew Breen who was our COD and was hitting dingers in style all class long! #walkitoff
Basketball
Tremendous sportsmanship & character today in basketball, and Westover Harvey was leading the pack. He helped out other players who were struggling a ton, serving as a great teammate to the rest.
Basketball Advanced
Liam Ray showed tremendous sportsmanship, kindness, & character in basketball today. He helped out his teammates racking up assists & setting them up for success. Liam was a great role-model for what we look for in basketball.
Boating and Canoeing
Meric Mosley made a splash at boating & canoeing by helping her overboard classmates and pulling in boats. Way to go, Meric! Jackson Sapenter won COD in boating & canoeing today for showing great leadership & helping counselors clean up without being asked. Good job, Jackson!
Broadcasting
The first period COD in Broadcasting was Helen Henley! Our amazing Helen did a fantastic job today hosting for the first time. We loved her segment on our all camp hike!!! COD in second period Broadcasting was Lincoln Reese! Lincoln worked wonderfully with friends to host a fun game of “Never Have I Ever!” His songs also lit up the room!!!
Challenge Course
Isabella Mitchell zipped on by on the zipline in challenge course this morning through the cool morning fog..it looked like a movie. You rock!! Kamryn Winburn was our star zip-liner today because she was the first to be filmed by Bob’s paparazzi! You are a star!
Choir
Roland Peery jammed out on the piano and showed us some great music! Truly a man of many talents and the COD!
Cross Country
COD Cierra Thompson absolutely killed it in War Paint Wednesday with her boundless energy and picture perfect head-to-toe paint design!!
Field Games
Dr. Zoid Veridean cowered in fear at the handball legend BJ Morris in field games today. His amazing passes, encouragement, and teamwork made him field games’s COD!
Fishing
Our first COD was Kailyn Claar for demonstrating immense bravery and kissing her first catch of the day for 5 whole seconds! She then went on to catch the biggest fish…A WHOLE THREE PLANKS! 4th period COD goes to Hailey Johndrow! She was an amazing fisherman today and was extremely helpful to the younger campers. Her energy always lights up the room. With the most impressive catch of the session thus far, our last COD goes to Cooper Madsen! With a ton of catches in the day, Cooper’s determination led him to catch a fish that was quite literally at LEAST FOUR PLANKS!!
Fishing Pro
Our 2nd COD was the one and only Lyla Dalasta! This was her first day in the class and she kept up the energy the whole time. Even though she wasn’t able to catch a fish, her smile never went away.
Hiking
1st period COD went to Mazie Burkhart! She was determined to lead & hiked with a smile the whole time! 2nd period COD goes to Alex Martin. Not only did she hike with a smile, but she helped younger campers find joy & comfort in the crazy trails of Sweeney! 3rd period COD goes to Jasmine Slaughter. Even in slides she hiked strong & helped others along the way! 5th period COD goes to Jay Marakhtonov, who has been working hard all week, shredding the trails & having a blast at hiking!!
Lacrosse
Today’s COD goes to the mighty Whitaker Tate who displayed the heart of a lion persevering through a gnarly ankle injury to win the ground ball drill like a beast.
Miniature Golf
Hudson Vineyard made the most of shortened classes today, finishing all 18 holes but still making sure all of his classmates cleaned up. He is looking forward to getting many holes in one tomorrow!
Paintball Jr
Today’s COD is Whitaker Tate! He’s fast and a great shot and he makes paintball an art form!
Paintball Combat
Our COD is Travis Bird!! As President of Mike’s Manor, he survived with only one defender!
Riflery
In another awesome day at the range, we had an intense competition! Kellen Kocsis was dead on as he hit the bullseye to take his team to the W! #deadshot
Rock Climbing
COD today goes to Mackenzie McNally for her creativity and perseverance in climbing up Mount Nick! She perfectly demonstrated that heart overcomes size any day! Our second COD is awarded to the hunky Brayden Cook! He showed absolutely no fear and scaled the mountains with pure upper body strength! Congrats, Brayden!
Rocketry
The COD in rocketry is Robert Dyer. Robert spent the period building and designing a new class of rockets to explore the Sweeney land and beyond.
Roller Hockey
Johnny Meyer brought his grit to the rink. Skating through adversity and peril.
Skatepark
Rachel Simmons faced her fears and took on the ripsticks! Making her COD for skatepark today!
Soccer
Andrew Breen led his team to victory during our relay races in soccer! Great job!
Soccer Ironman
Nolan Woods assisted and helped out his teammates in our 11 v 11 scrimmage today! Looking like a young Messi out there!
Sweeney Fit
The Sweeney Fit COD is Noah Maciel. Noah consistently brings intensity and grit to every workout, and he is always eager to up the difficulty and challenge of the workouts.
Swimming
Swimming period 2: On this wonderful wibit Wednesday out COD Vahan Markarian Shukur absolutely dominated with his speed and sportsmanship.
Swing Dance
Our swing dance COD was Cady Blair!!! Even though she was new to the class Blair was able to quickly catch along with everyone and learn all the thriller moves!! Keep up the great work, you got this!!
Tennis
Was that Serena Williams? NO!! It was our Tennis COD, McKenna Carra!! She was all over the place and had some crazy hits on the court! Great job!!
Tumbling
Today’s tumbletastic COD is Julianna Thompson! She came to tumbling with amazing energy and a big smile on her face, and did her back handspring by herself for the first time!
Video Production
COD is Addison Shinn! She really brought the sparkle to vid pro today with all of her shining ideas and questions! She was the movie star of the day!
Volleyball
Meier Turboff was busy all period serving up aces and leading his team to victory, having so much F-U-N!
Water Games
3rd period water games: Splish splashing Cierra Thompson is water games COD because she is always there to help her fellow campers on wibit Wednesday!
Water Park
Aran Schurwanz was being a great contributor to the waterpark! He was having so much F-U-N while also helping people out on the platform. He was a great role model. JoCiyah Ivery had a lot of F-U-N at the waterpark and went down the slide many times. He tried a new trick for the first time today and mastered it by the end of class! Jarred Cain is always being a good sport and always lends a hand. Today he stayed back to help the waterpark staff carry the tube from the jetski!
Weightlifting
Our COD for 3rd period weightlifting was putting their all into getting swole and helped those around them as well. Congrats to Zachery Gatteys! For 4th period, this camper went above and beyond with their intensity and set an example for all the other Sweeney lifters. Way to go, Cooper Shackelford! In 5th period, this camper, Ryan West, went the extra mile for learning the way of weightlifting and will be sure to see great gains in the future. Congratulations to all these Sweeney lifters!
Zumba
Today’s COD is Ashley Allen! She had F-U-N to the M-A-X while sweatin’ to the oldies on Richard Simmons Wednesday! Her energy was contagious! Great job, Ashley!
