Arts and Crafts
Madeline Keffer was our COD for 2nd period arts and crafts! She excelled at making paracord bracelets and helped out others! Great work! Oliver Schuller was the COD for arts and crafts 3rd period! They were super helpful and an amazing artist!
Baseball
Congrats to Westover Harvey on getting COD in baseball. He did a great job pitching and hitting. He pitched a curveball that dropped off the table by a mile. I was super proud of his improvement in the game. Keep up the good work, Westover! I wouldn’t be shocked if the travels west to play for the Dodgers to hit a few balls over the fence!
Basketball
Robert Dyer was locked in today at basketball! He showed up ready to play and ready to win! He worked hard for rebounds and didn’t stop hustling to every end!
Basketball Advanced
Lila Lawrence shot lights, our COD in basketball advanced today. When the time came and the lights were brightest, she played her best! She hustled the entire time and put up an energizing performance!
Boating and Canoeing
The COD today is Tarren! Tarren did a great job beating the counselors in a canoe race and was a lot of fun playing games on the water!
Broadcasting
The COD for period 1 is Madeline Keffer! This sweetheart brought the energy to her first segment ever! Camp Sweeney is ready to have F-U-N at Urban Air! The COD for period 2 broadcasting is Rylee Carter! This first timer programmer was a natural pro! She puts the RAD in radio!
Challenge Course
Harper Panitz was our challenge course COD after climbing the “I Can Wall”. She was a little nervous at first but climbed in record time! Congrats, Harper!
Choir
Our COD is Gillian Riordan for her amazing singing skills and absolutely nailing her leader performance in choir.
Cross Country
XC COD goes to Gio Munthali! Even through the mist and mosquitos, Gio persevered and showed great leadership! Sweeney XC is proud!
Fishing
1st period fishing COD, Harper Korzenewski was able to bait her own line and independently cast. She did all of this for the first time. She was focused and engaged throughout the period.
Hiking
Congrats to Caleb Novoa, hiking’s COD for 1st period. He braved the wilderness and demonstrated some real perseverance along the way! Keep it up!
Lacrosse
A new member of Lacrosse brought her A-game today and always hustled to get the ball to promote friendly competition. Thank you to our COD Henley Harris for helping us out today and having so much F-U-N!
Paintball Combat
COD Natalia Belyeu took shots to the mask and still managed to get a win for her team. You rock!!
Pro Fishing
Pro fishing’s COD, Carson Lunnie, caught 5 fish today and he was fishtastic! He eagerly awaited his next catch and patiently waited!
Riflery-Advanced
Advanced riflery COD goes to Caleb Sowers, who not only shot a shotgun for the first time but also succeeded using his determination to hit 3 clays during skeet shooting!
Rocketry
Matthew Ford is our COD for taking on the challenge of not just building his first rocket but building his first rocket independently. Matthew did not back down from this daunting task and I cannot wait to see his rocket blast off soon!
Roller Hockey
Johnny “Stone Wall” Meyer was a silent killer on the field, stopping everything in his way and even scoring a few!
Skate Park
Defining the phrase, hard work is done without anyone noticing, June Johnston hammered the skateboard the whole day today, making her skate park’s COD!
Sweeney Fit
The incredible Olivia Magana showed her immense strength today as she led the group through so many new exercises. Her bright energy helped everyone power forward. Great work, Olivia!
Swimming
In 2nd period, Addie Truhe free-styled into the swimming fun, and earned COD! She was making a splash from the inner tube, and helping fellow campers with their life jackets. Awesome job, Addie! Our COD is Grayson Brooks for against all odds still was able to hop in and make a splash. Love the energy. Way to go, Grayson!
Swing Dance
Chloe Goings was spectacular today! As a newcomer, she really embraced the spirit of swing dance with her passion for dance and willingness!
Tennis
Ford McEntire is tennis’ COD! We all thought it was beginner’s luck until his serves just wouldn’t quit. Way to go!
Theater
Our COD is Gio Munthali for his star-studded acting skills and innovative improv games!
Tumbling
John Michael Barbeito came back to tumbling week two ready to rumble (and tumble) with his eye on the prize (the talent show). He worked hard, stayed focused, and helped others do the same.
Ultimate Frisbee
2nd period: Jack Bowman learned so much in his very first day of ultimate frisbee throwing, catching, and even scoring a point for the Ritz Crackers! Great job, Jack! Charlie Russell has been a rockstar in 5th period ultimate from day one with his skills, encouragement, and positive attitude!
Volleyball
Today’s volleyball COD is BJ Morris! He started the week off with a killer comeback and passed his team to victory in 6v6. Great work today, BJ!
Waterpark
Today’s COD is Matthew Ford! He had so much fun playing categories down the slide and he rode on the tube for the first time! Great job, Matthew!
Zipline
Ellie Johnson was 2nd period’s COD after bringing great energy and enthusiasm to the zipline. Congrats, Ellie!
Zumba
Maddie Stowe killed it in class! As a new student, she led the class with such vigor and enthusiasm. She totally rocked it!
