Camp Sweeney is more than just a place. Camp Sweeney is made special by the incredible people who devote their time and energy to our program. While the campers create all of the friendships and F-U-N, our dedicated staff supports them every step of the way! Our staff is composed of individuals with different backgrounds and talents. What brings them all together is their compassion for our campers and the joy they share in seeing these children grow into healthy and confident individuals.

Meet our

Counselors

Our Sweeney counselors are experts in F-U-N to the M-A-X! All of our counselors are college students or graduates from universities across the nation. To ensure that our staff is ready to meet the needs of every child, each counselor completes 2 weeks of intensive training before the the summer begins. These highly trained individuals, with support from medical students and attending physicians, are prepared to manage the day-to-day needs of diabetes while making sure that every camper has the summer of a lifetime! In addition to receiving education on diabetes management, every member of our staff is also CPR and First Aid certified.

Our office and program staff work tirelessly through the year to make every minute of the summer possible. Our business manager, registrar, and development associate are happy to answer your questions about events, enrollment, and financial aid! Our associate program directors attend year round events and work all year long to make each summer the best it can be.
